Russ Hagios's 1940 FordThree Window Coupe

Russ discovered his car in September 1966 at the 5th annual Goodguys Show at Rhinebeck, NY. After checking out the car several times in the car corral with his friend Floyd Hart, they both agreed that Russ would not be able to build a car like this one for what the owner was asking for it.

After a month of negotiations over the phone, Russ purchased the Ford. He told his wife Doreen that the car was perfect and that they wouldn't have to buy anything for it. "Just gas it up an go!" Well, need less to say, that lasted about a week before he was buying new valve covers, air cleaner, and several other glitz parts. Since then, the car has been an ongoing work in progress.

Some major modifications include a boxed factory frame, S&S fenderwell headers, Stainless Specialties polished stainless exhaust, a polished Griffith radiator, a hand made polished stainless steel firewall, and of cource the polished out 355 inch B.D.S. blown small block Chevy.

Russ would like to thank his wife and son for all of their help and understanding with this car!
