MY STREET ROD IS A  '38 FORD ,2DR- STANDARD SEDAN. I'VE OWNED IT SINCE 1991 AND HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF LISRA SINCE '92. SINCE THEN IT'S  HAD A 289 FORD, A 351 FORD AND NOW, A 408 STROKER SMALL BLOCK FORD. IT ALSO RUNS  AN AOD TRANNY, BUILT BY "DYNAMIC" TRANS OF CT AND A 4:10 POSI FORD REAR. SO FAR I'VE GOT IT TO  RUN INTO THE 12'S ON STREET TIRES.

THE INTERIOR WAS DONE AT HOME. THE LEATHER ELECTRIC BUCKET SEATS ARE FROM A 2001 OLDS WITH A NARROWED, FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT (TO BRING ALL THAT "STUFF" HOME FROM YORK PA., THAT MY WIFE FRAN CAN'T "GET" ON LONG ISLAND). THE" ROD DOORS" DOOR PANELS AND CARPETING I PUT TOGETHER.

FOR THIS LAST PAINT JOB, THE BODY WAS STRIPPED TO BARE METAL, DOOR HANDLES REMOVED, AND PAINTED DODGE "RED INFERNO", AND CHRYSLER 300 "MIDNIGHT BLUE METTALIC". THE GRAPHICS WERE DONE BY  "GRAPHIC SOLUTIONS" OF ISLIP.

THIS CAR GETS DRIVEN EVERYWHERE, SO THE STOCK PAINT COLORS COULD  BE EASILY MATCHED IF DAMAGED. THE MUSTANG II FRONT END AND CHASSIS ENGINEERING  REAR SPRINGS MAKE IT A REAL FUN RIDE.

THE 17 YEARS I'VE BEEN IN LISRA HAS GIVEN ME PLENTY OF EXCUSES TO GO CRUZIN' AND A LOT OF REAL GOOD FRIENDS TO DO IT WITH!!!  THANKS, LONG ISLAND STREET ROD.
