Lou's 1947 Ford

Click here for the Ride of the Month Archives

Lou, "Doc" LaRocco purchased this 1947 Ford Tudor Sedan in 1996. The car was totally rust free and only had 39,000 original miles on it.

After he bought the car, he removed the body from the chassis and completely updated the frame. After he re-married the body to the frame, he attacked the interior. (Interiors By Lou). The donor vehicle was a 1996 Ford Explorer and Lou installed the entire interior by himself.

The car is powered by a 350 CI small block Chevy motor with a 700R/4 transmission and a Ford 9" rear end.

Other goodies include a 625 CFM AFB Barter Carb, Heidt's front end, Ron Francis wiring harness, Griffin radiator, and power windows from a '74 Caddy.
