We start off 2011 with Don's awesome 1935 Chevy Master Deluxe!

Don found this car in Hauppauge back in 1995. It was started as a street rod, but was never finished or registered.

With the help of a couple of friends, Don built a new motor for the car, added a 700R4 transmission, and changed the 8" rear end ratio to 390. Don also added heat and air, turn signals, and a stereo system.

After Don finally got the car road ready in 2000, he drove it to the Tampa Nationals. He put 4200 miles on the car without a single mechanical problem!

Don came back from Florida, and took the car all apart to address the body. He made new wood for the doors, widened the hood 1/4" on each side, fixed some stress cracks in the fenders, made new rocker panels, and changed the color from maroon to black with a blue pearl.

This fine gangster era car is powered by a .040 over 350 ci small block Chevy topped with a 750 cfm Holley Carb backed by a Flowmaster exhaust. Other improvements include a boxed stock frame, a Mustang II front end, and new leaf springs and late model shocks for the rear.

In the near future, Don intends to put in a new interior and have a completely finished car.
